Your expertise in dental procedures, patient assessment, and infection control will ensure a safe, comfortable, and positive experience for every patient. Responsibilities Perform dental cleanings, scaling, root planing, and fluoride treatments to promote oral health. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient safety. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions. Assist dentists during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and comfort. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures aligned with healthcare standards. Skills Proficiency in dental software systems like Dentrix for scheduling, documentation review, and record management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and general dentistry procedures. Experience with dental equipment operation, dental x-ray techniques, and medical imaging. Excellent client communication skills to effectively educate patients about dental care and treatment plans. Ability to perform chairside assisting with precision while maintaining a sterile environment. Understanding of HIPAA compliance management to ensure patient confidentiality and data security. Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control practices to uphold safety standards in the clinic environment. $45.00 - $47.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 per week
