Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care! In this energetic and rewarding position, you will be responsible for providing thorough dental cleanings, patient assessments, and oral health education. Your expertise will help patients maintain healthy smiles while supporting the overall efficiency of our dental practice. We are looking for a motivated professional who is passionate about promoting oral health and creating a positive patient experience. Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to prevent decay and gum disease. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies. Manage electronic health records using EMR systems like Dentrix to ensure accurate documentation of treatments and medical records. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and privacy. Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to coordinate patient care plans effectively. Skills Proficiency in dental terminology and dental coding for accurate documentation. Experience with dental software such as Dentrix for scheduling, billing, and record keeping. Knowledge of general dentistry procedures along with specialized areas like pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery. Ability to perform patient assessments including vital signs measurement and medical documentation. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy is maintained at all times. Excellent communication skills to explain treatment options clearly and compassionately to patients of all ages. $43.00 - $45.00 per hour
