We are looking to hire a new hygienist! Do you feel like your practice is just going through the motions with no attempt at self-improvement? Are you rushed through your work to the point where you can't do your job to your own standards? Are you considering trying something new? Our practice aims to help both our team members and our community to thrive. We're focused on compassion, collaboration, and growth. We want to build this place as a team, working hard together to create a practice that is warm and dedicated to excellence in oral health care. While we are excited to serve the whole community, we also have a special interest in making our queer patients and anxious patients feel comfortable and respected. Finally, we care deeply about food security, and are proud to be partnering with the Northampton Survival Center who we donate to on a monthly basis. While we understand this might not be the ideal environment for everyone, we're hoping that the right hygienist will feel right at home here. I am open to both part-time and full-time applicants. We do not work on weekends, and have one late day per week (the rest are early). The best hygienist for the position will be an easy going, clinically focused individual, who is ready to grow. A current Massachusetts hygiene license, ability to provide local anesthesia, and CPR certification at the time of hire are a must. You also need to be comfortable treating mild to moderate periodontal disease with scaling and root planing or periodontal maintenance when recommended (usually around a third of our patients are periodontally involved, as we have a mostly adult patient base). We require timeliness, flexibility, teamwork, cleanliness, interpersonal respect, organization, and a service-oriented attitude. Everyone here is expected to help each other if they have the time. Our mission is to help our community be healthy, eat good food, and smile with confidence, and we hope you feel the same way!
