Well established Northampton Dental office looking for a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team 4 days a week.

We are an energetic and fun team looking to welcome a Registered Dental Hygienist who shares the same enthusiasm to our practice. Our mission and philosophy is to assist our patients in achieving the highest level of health they desire through education and a supportive environment. We are a progressive office, using state of the art technology for Dexis digital X-rays, intra-oral images and voice activated periodontal charting. We use Dentrix software and are a chartless practice.
Registered Dental Hygienist Responsibilities:
  • Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling and root plan, and polishing teeth, periodontal charting
  • Take digital dental x-rays and intra oral images
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide personalized oral care instructions
  • Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and materials
  • Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical history and performing oral cancer screenings
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical documentation and treatment plans. Attention to detail
  • Collaborate with the dental office team to ensure efficient and effective patient care
  • Utilize dental software systems (such as Dentrix) to manage patient appointments, treatment plans, and medical imaging
Registered Dental Hygienist Skills:
  • Proficient in dental assisting techniques and procedures
  • Knowledge of pediatric dental care practices and techniques
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM technology for dental restorations
  • Experience in managing and maintaining electronic medical records
  • Strong patient assessment skills, including the ability to identify oral health issues and develop appropriate treatment plans
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral hygiene practices and address their concerns
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals
