In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care by performing professional dental cleanings, assessments, and preventive treatments. Your expertise will help promote optimal oral health and ensure a positive experience for every patient. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment dedicated to improving lives through comprehensive dental care. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) using advanced equipment while maintaining strict infection control standards. Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options. Assist with chairside procedures in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings, ensuring smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, documenting treatment plans, procedures, and patient responses in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Follow HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with all infection control protocols using aseptic techniques. Skills Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for scheduling, documentation review, and record management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Experience with pediatric dentistry practices and providing care tailored to children's needs (pediatrics). Skilled in chairside assisting with a focus on four-handed dentistry for efficiency and patient comfort. Ability to accurately measure vital signs and recognize signs of medical concerns during assessments. Knowledge of infection control procedures, sterilization techniques, and aseptic technique standards. Familiarity with medical coding for billing purposes and documentation review processes.
