Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist, New Grads included, to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for patient care and oral health education, with comprehensive knowledge of dental procedures, infection control, and electronic health record management. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing preventive dental services, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and supporting the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your expertise will contribute to delivering exceptional patient experiences while maintaining the highest standards of safety and confidentiality.
Schedule:
Monday (7:40am-6:00pm) & Friday (7:40am-2:00pm) Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs and medical histories to ensure safe treatment planning. Assist with dental procedures using chairside assisting techniques, including handing instruments and managing dental equipment. Capture and interpret dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Follow infection prevention protocols through aseptic techniques and sterilization of dental tools and equipment. Support general dentistry and pediatric dentistry procedures, adapting communication styles for pediatric patients when necessary. Collaborate with dentists and other team members to ensure seamless patient care delivery. Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to healthcare infection control standards at all times. Requirements Valid licensure as a Dental Hygienist in the relevant jurisdiction with current CPR certification. Proven experience in dental office settings, including familiarity with dental assisting and chairside procedures. Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and medical coding related to dental care. Strong understanding of infection prevention management, aseptic techniques, and healthcare safety protocols. $60.00 - $68.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 per week
