Fountainhead Dentistry | Hagerstown, MD Fountainhead Dentistry is a well-established dental practice that has proudly served the Hagerstown community for over 40 years . We are looking for a friendly, caring, and motivated Dental Hygienist to join our team and help us provide exceptional care to patients of all ages. The position we are hiring for will be 3-4 days/week. As a family practice, you'll have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with a diverse patient population, from young children experiencing their first dental visits to adults who have been patients for years. What You'll Do As a Dental Hygienist, you will play an important role in providing preventive dental care and creating a positive experience for every patient.

Responsibilities include:

Provide compassionate, high-quality hygiene care to children, teens, adults, and seniors Welcome patients and help them feel comfortable and at ease Perform comprehensive oral health screenings and review medical/dental histories Assess patients for signs of gingivitis, periodontal disease, caries, and other oral conditions Perform dental cleanings and periodontal maintenance Apply fluoride and other preventive treatments as appropriate Take dental radiographs Educate patients and families on proper brushing, flossing, nutrition, and preventive oral care Provide age-appropriate oral hygiene instruction, including helping children develop healthy dental habits Provide post-treatment and post-operative instructions when needed Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation Follow all infection control, sterilization, HIPAA, and safety protocols Properly prepare, maintain, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment Monitor and maintain hygiene supplies and equipment Work collaboratively with the dental team to provide excellent patient care What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is friendly, dependable, patient-focused, and enjoys working with people of all ages . Qualifications:

Current Dental Hygiene license in Maryland Degree/diploma in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program Experience as a Dental Hygienist preferred Strong understanding of infection control, HIPAA, and dental health and safety standards Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable educating patients and building strong patient relationships Patient, positive, and compassionate chairside manner Strong attention to detail and clinical skills Ability to work effectively as part of a dental team Comfortable providing care to patients of varying ages and needs Why Join Fountainhead Dentistry?
