Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our patient-focused dental team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality preventive and therapeutic oral health care, conduct thorough screenings, and perform professional cleanings. You will play a vital part in patient education, early disease detection, and building long-term relationships to foster optimal oral health.
Key Responsibilities & Duties Clinical Care & Assessment:
Perform thorough oral hygiene evaluations, including medical history reviews, periodontal charting, and oral cancer screenings.
Preventive Treatments:
Clean and remove plaque, tartar, and calculus from teeth and along the gumline; apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants as needed.
Radiography & Diagnostics:
Take high-quality dental X-rays and assist the dentist with diagnostic procedures.
Patient Education:
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, home care routines, and personalized preventive strategy recommendations.
Sterilization & Safety:
Prepare treatment rooms, assist the dentist during procedures, and strictly adhere to all infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols.
Record Keeping & Administrative Support:
Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and assist with managing patient recall schedules and follow-up care.
Qualifications & Skills Education & Licensure:
Successful completion of an accredited Dental Hygiene program. Active state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. Local anesthesia certification (preferred or required depending on state regulations).
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in operating dental software, digital radiography, and modern clinical equipment. In-depth knowledge of dental terminology, oral anatomy, and periodontal disease management.
Interpersonal & Professional Strengths:
Strong communication skills with an empathetic approach to patient care and education. High level of attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary dental team.
Pay:
From $60.00 per hour Application Question(s): Successful completion of an accredited Dental Hygiene program. Proficiency in operating dental software, digital radiography, and modern clinical equipment.
License/Certification:
Active state license (Required) Local Anesthesia Certification (Preferred)
