Join a team of experienced dental professionals who are passionate about pediatric dentistry and committed to providing exceptional care. Hours This is a part-time position (2 days per week) Wednesday and Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm Compensation $65.00-70.00/hour (depending on experience) Responsibilities Greet and engage patients with respect and a smile. Perform procedures as planned by the dentist, while ensuring patient comfort. Maintaining patient medical records, updating patient medical history, and vital signs as needed. Conducting complete patient X-ray procedures, including taking, developing, and storing X-Rays as necessary. Completing periodontal charting as directed. Preparing tools and equipment necessary for the Provider and assisting the Provider with exams as necessary. Performing preventative periodontal care on patients, including scaling, prophylaxis, root planning, and the application of preventative agents and sealants. Maintain a clean, sterile, and patient-centric working environment. Working in tandem with the doctors to carry one column of restorative work each day. Partner with skilled dental assistants who provide clinical support ensuring a positive patient experience. Educate patients on the importance of dental hygiene. Requirements 1+ years of practical experience as a dental hygienist. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification. License (pending or active) issued by the State Board. Experience with medical imaging techniques, such as intraoral and extraoral x-rays. Desire and ability to learn new skills and be a team player. Commitment to being punctual and reporting to work on time. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the desire for professional growth. Be organized and possess a superior knowledge of dentistry and dental terminology.
