We're looking for a Temporary Dental Hygienist to join our team at Hammond Street Dental Care for a short-term position.

Hours available:

Tuesday-Thursday:

9:00 AM-6:00

PM, Friday:

9:00 AM-2:00 PM Flexible scheduling — we can accommodate different days and variations of hours within these time frames. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Take and develop dental x-rays using advanced imaging equipment while ensuring patient safety and comfort Conduct patient assessments by measuring vital signs and reviewing medical histories to inform treatment plans Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using OpenDental Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures, to ensure a safe environment for all Requirements Valid dental hygiene license with current registration in the state of practice Proven experience in dental office settings, with familiarity in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred Proficiency in EHR/EHR systems like OpenDental, Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review Strong knowledge of dental terminology, equipment operation, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry Excellent communication skills for client interaction, patient education, and team collaboration Knowledge of anatomy, medical records management, and healthcare infection prevention practices

Pay:

From $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 35.0 per week
