Job Description

Pay Rate:

$2,500.00

•$2,700.00 gross per week

Duties:
Assessment & Screening:

Review medical history, measure vital signs (blood pressure), and perform extra/intraoral exams to check for abnormalities.

Periodontal Charting:

Measuring pocket depths around teeth to identify gum disease and track oral health.

Radiographs:

Exposing and interpreting dental X-rays to check for decay or bone loss.

Preventive Services:

Removing calculus, plaque, and stains through scaling and polishing (prophylaxis).

Therapeutic Treatment:

Performing non-surgical periodontal therapy, such as scaling and root planning, to treat gum disease.

Preventive Applications:

Applying fluoride and pit-and-fissure sealants to protect teeth.

Patient Education:

Providing tailored instructions on brushing, flossing, and nutrition to improve oral health.

Patient Volume:

9-11 patients per day Adults scheduled for 1 hour, pediatric patients for 30 minutes (with some exceptions when a longer appt is needed). Generally scheduled for 9-11 patients per 9 patient contact hour day before missed appointments considered.

Requirements:

1 year minimum relative experience 2-3 years preferred

Certifications:
BLS STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

Maine RDH license
