You will be coming into a full schedule with 60 minute adult prophylaxis appointments. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain optimal oral health. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans. Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Follow strict infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to ensure a safe clinical environment. Requirements Valid Dental Hygiene license in good standing with relevant state licensing boards. Proven experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings, with familiarity in pediatric dentistry preferred. Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding for documentation review and billing purposes. Strong knowledge of anatomy, infection control practices, and dental assisting procedures such as chairside assisting. Experience with EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs compassionately and thoroughly. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information at all times.
