Metro Dentalcare is seeking a patient-focused Dental Hygienist to provide high-quality preventive and periodontal care in a modern, multi-location practice. In this role, you will perform comprehensive hygiene services, including exams, prophylaxis, SRP, radiographs, and patient education, while collaborating closely with dentists and specialists. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental hygiene services, including prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and scaling and root planing Obtain, review, and update medical/dental histories and vital signs Take, expose, and evaluate digital dental radiographs and intraoral images Provide patient education on oral hygiene, disease prevention, and treatment recommendations Collaborate with dentists and specialists to develop and coordinate patient treatment plans Document findings, treatment, and patient communications accurately in electronic health records Maintain strict infection control and sterilization protocols in compliance with OSHA and CDC guidelines Assess periodontal status and communicate findings and recommendations to patients and providers Administer local anesthesia and/or nitrous oxide where permitted by state regulations Contribute to a positive, team-based environment and support efficient patient flow across the practice Required Skills Dental prophylaxis and periodontal maintenance Scaling and root planing (SRP) Periodontal assessment and charting Digital radiography and intraoral imaging Local anesthesia administration Infection control and sterilization (OSHA/CDC) Electronic dental records (EDR/EHR) documentation Patient education and oral hygiene instruction Nitrous oxide monitoring/administration (where allowed) Clinical instrumentation and ergonomics
