In this patient-focused, friendly practice, you will perform cleanings, periodontal therapy, radiographs, screenings, and patient education while supporting a comfortable, positive experience. You'll work closely with dentists and assistants using modern technology and evidence-based practices. Responsibilities Perform routine and periodontal cleanings, scaling, and root planing Conduct periodontal charting, oral cancer screenings, and caries risk assessments Take and interpret digital radiographs following safety protocols Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and treatment recommendations Maintain strict infection control and sterilization procedures Document findings and treatment in electronic dental records accurately and timely Coordinate with dentists and dental assistants on treatment plans and patient flow Promote a comfortable, reassuring experience for anxious or pediatric patients Support recall systems and help maintain a full, efficient hygiene schedule Participate in team meetings, training, and continuing education activities Required Skills Dental prophylaxis and periodontal maintenance Dental radiographs (digital X-rays) Periodontal charting and assessment Local anesthesia administration (if licensed) Infection control and sterilization Patient education and oral hygiene instruction Electronic dental records (EDR) systems Fluoride and sealant application Use of ultrasonic scalers Interprofessional communication
