Job Overview Join our dental team as a Hygienist, delivering exceptional patient care and promoting oral health. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain oral health. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to form treatment plans. Discuss treatment options with patients. Educate patients on proper dental care techniques, preventive practices, and post-treatment instructions to promote oral health habits. Take dental images and intraoral photos using dental x-ray equipment. Adhering to infection prevention protocols. Assist with chairside procedures. Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix to document treatment details accurately and review medical records for comprehensive patient care. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining patient confidentiality and safeguarding sensitive medical information. Support infection control practices by sterilizing dental equipment, managing infection prevention protocols, and adhering to healthcare safety standards. Requirements Valid Dental Hygiene license in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist clinically. Proficiency with EHR/EHR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care. Familiarity with dental equipment operation, dental imaging procedures, and infection prevention management. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively on dental care practices. Ability to perform chairside assisting duties including handling dental instruments and supporting dentists during procedures. Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control standards such as aseptic technique and HIPAA compliance management. Ability to assess patients' medical history accurately through patient care activities while maintaining high standards of patient confidentiality.
