Located just off of in, NC, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate dental care to families and individuals alike. Overview We are seeking a motivated Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) part time / temporary to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional patient care, promote oral health education, and support our dental team with your expertise in pediatric dentistry and dental hygiene procedures. Your energetic approach will help foster a positive environment where patients feel comfortable and cared for at every visit. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to maintain optimal oral health. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and dental charts to ensure safe and effective treatment. Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to individual needs. Assist with dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and adherence to safety protocols. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR/EMR), documenting all treatments, observations, and patient interactions clearly. Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to uphold the highest standards of safety and hygiene. Requirements Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) in North Carolina or the applicable state. Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly preferred. Experience in pediatric dentistry or working with children is a strong plus. Knowledge of dental terminology, equipment operation, and infection control practices. Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, explaining procedures clearly and compassionately. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Strong organizational skills for managing medical records, documentation review, and medical coding tasks. Prior experience in general dentistry or dental clinics is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
