Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - MS Oncology Job Type Contract Multiple contract opportunities are available for experienced Registered Nurses specializing in Oncology and Medical-Surgical Oncology. This dynamic role provides the chance to deliver compassionate, high-quality care to oncology patients in a collaborative and supportive hospital setting. Openings accommodate a variety of shift preferences, offering both day and night schedules.
Schedule Options:
4x12-hour shifts (
Day:
07:00-19:30 |
Night:
19:00-07:30) 3x12-hour shifts may be considered Multiple positions available Start date: 9/21/26 13-week contract duration
Required Experience and Certifications:
Minimum of 1 year recent experience in an Oncology or MS Oncology RN role Valid RN license for North Carolina or a compact state license active at time of submission Current BLS and PALS certifications Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage complex oncology patients Excellent communication and patient education skills
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of oncology patients Administer chemotherapy, pain management, and supportive therapies in accordance with evidence-based protocols Monitor for treatment side effects and complications, coordinating interventions with the interdisciplinary team Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes Advocate for patients' needs and support families throughout the care process Maintain accurate and timely medical records
