Position Description Wake Technical Community College is seeking to expand our pool of adjunct faculty to teach laboratory, clinicals or diadactics in Dental Hygiene courses. Openings for these positions may not exist at the present time; however upon review of your qualifications, you may be contacted in the future. Responsibilities and Duties (•Essential Functions) To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily. Instructs and guides the class in an efficient and effective manner Maintains accurate records of student work and attendance Prepares thoroughly for each instructional hour Maintains a safe and orderly learning environment Grades and returns student work in a timely manner Counsels students regarding their grades and progress in the course Supports American Dental Association CODA standards in operating the program as well as the objectives and mission of the institution Participates in curriculum development and program design with the Department Head Collaborates with laboratory and clinical course directors to accomplish the goals of education Promotes continued dental hygiene education program growth through a strong education system Serves as a member of faculty committees, attends scheduled faculty meetings, and participates in professional organizations and community activities
