Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote healthy smiles. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) using dental imaging equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to enhance their understanding of dental health. Maintain accurate electronic health records in Eaglesoft system, documenting treatment details, medical records, and dental coding accurately. Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures, to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Skills Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft for scheduling, documentation review, and record management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and general dentistry procedures. Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures safely while maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Skilled in patient communication, client education, and delivering compassionate care to diverse populations.
