Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental x-ray equipment while maintaining strict adherence to infection prevention protocols. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to their individual needs. Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards. Manage infection control procedures by following aseptic techniques, sterilizing dental instruments, and maintaining a safe clinical environment. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental hygiene procedures. Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings is preferred; familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus. Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation and scheduling. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical records management. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about dental care and health maintenance. Demonstrated expertise in infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control standards. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment utilizing chairside assisting skills when needed.
