Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Part-Time Dental Hygienist to join our team in Gretna. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient care excellence by providing preventive dental services, patient education, and supporting overall clinic operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a passion for patient care, and familiarity with modern dental software systems. Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and polishing procedures to promote optimal oral health. Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews, ensuring accurate documentation within electronic health records (EHR). Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies tailored to individual needs. Assist with dental procedures by preparing the treatment area, managing dental equipment, and maintaining aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring adherence to radiation safety protocols. Manage infection prevention protocols and maintain strict infection control standards in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Document all patient interactions thoroughly within EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, reviewing medical records for accuracy and completeness. Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a general or pediatric dentistry setting. Proficiency with dental software platforms including Dentrix. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and experience working with pediatric patients preferred. Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding processes. Strong understanding of infection prevention management, aseptic techniques, and healthcare infection control standards. Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and patient education. Ability to perform chairside assisting duties and operate dental equipment efficiently while maintaining patient comfort. Pay:
$45.00 - $52.00 per hour
