Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and evaluating oral health status to inform treatment plans. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while adhering to infection prevention protocols. Assist dentists during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient experience. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term dental health. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix), documenting all procedures, assessments, and patient interactions clearly and thoroughly. Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining patient confidentiality and safeguarding medical records. Follow infection control standards through aseptic techniques, sterilization of dental equipment, and adherence to healthcare infection prevention guidelines. Qualifications Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings, with familiarity in pediatric dentistry preferred. Proficiency in dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for managing electronic health records. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding practices. Skilled in chairside assisting, including handling dental equipment and performing X-ray procedures safely. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and patient education; ability to explain procedures clearly. Demonstrated understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control measures, including aseptic technique. Pay:

$45.00 - $55.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 30.0 per week
