Join us and be part of a dynamic team committed to advancing dental care and patient well-being. Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our team. In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional dental hygiene services, educate patients on oral health, and support the overall patient experience. Your expertise will help promote healthy smiles while ensuring compliance with all safety and infection control standards. Responsibilities Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews, to ensure safe treatment. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using digital imaging technology, ensuring accurate positioning and safety protocols. Assist the dentist during procedures by managing dental equipment and maintaining a sterile environment through aseptic techniques. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality. Support infection prevention measures by adhering to infection control protocols and sterilization procedures. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental procedures. Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Experience in pediatric dentistry or working with pediatric patients is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care. Skilled in chairside assisting, including patient care, documentation review, and medical coding where applicable. Familiarity with dental equipment operation, X-ray safety standards, and infection prevention management.
