Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to prevent decay and gum disease. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient safety in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to enhance their understanding of dental health. Review medical records and document treatment details accurately while ensuring compliance with healthcare infection prevention standards. Manage infection control protocols, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean clinical environment following OSHA guidelines. Support patient care by assessing needs, answering questions, and providing compassionate communication throughout visits. Experience Proven experience working in a dental office or clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care. Hands-on experience with dental software such as Eaglesoft for managing electronic health records (EHR). preferred Demonstrated ability to perform dental x-rays (X-ray) safely and effectively while adhering to radiation safety standards. Expertise in infection prevention management, including sterilization techniques and aseptic procedures. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients about their oral health effectively.
