Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting oral health. Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning teeth, scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote optimal oral health. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient safety protocols are followed. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment planning. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to empower them with lifelong healthy habits. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and comfort. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) accurately by documenting treatment notes, medical records, and billing information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Maintain infection control standards by sterilizing dental equipment, practicing aseptic techniques, and adhering to healthcare infection prevention protocols. Skills Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for scheduling, documentation review, and record management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding to ensure precise communication and documentation. Experience with pediatric dentistry procedures and caring for pediatric patients with patience and professionalism. Expertise in dental equipment operation, dental x-ray techniques, and general dentistry procedures. Excellent client communication skills to effectively educate patients about dental care and address their concerns confidently. Healthcare infection prevention and control expertise to uphold the highest standards of safety and hygiene. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment utilizing chairside assisting skills while maintaining attention to detail.
