Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, oral examinations, and diagnostic imaging using advanced tools such as digital X-rays and medical imaging techniques. Perform a variety of dental procedures including dental cleanings, restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, and dental implants with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques. Diagnose dental conditions accurately by applying your knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and healthcare diagnosis standards while complying with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Develop personalized treatment plans based on thorough patient evaluations, ensuring clear communication of procedures and expected outcomes. Maintain meticulous medical documentation and dental records in compliance with legal requirements and clinic policies. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care strategies, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health. Collaborate effectively with team members in a four-handed dentistry setup to optimize patient flow and comfort during procedures. Skills Proficiency in dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and billing processes. Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and sterilization techniques to ensure patient safety. Expertise in medical terminology related to dentistry and general healthcare diagnosis for accurate record keeping and communication. Experience with pediatric dentistry practices including working with children and understanding pediatric-specific treatment needs. Ability to perform complex procedures such as dental extractions, root canal therapy, orthodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, and implant placement. Excellent client communication skills to educate patients effectively about their treatment options and foster trust. Familiarity with dental fabrication processes for crowns, bridges, dentures or other prosthetic devices. Knowledge of medical imaging techniques used in dentistry for accurate diagnosis.
