About NowDental of Suffolk NowDental of Suffolk 496 Smithtown Bypass, Suite 300, Smithtown, NY 11787 Our established Smithtown practice features 9 operatories and a modern digital workflow. We provide comprehensive care ranging from preventive and periodontal treatment to restorative, cosmetic, Invisalign, and same-day crown services. For our hygienists, that means working as an integral part of a comprehensive care team - not simply moving patients through a hygiene schedule. Your Role as a Dental Hygienist Provide comprehensive preventive and periodontal hygiene care Perform cleanings, scaling and root planing, fluoride treatments, and other hygiene services within your scope Assess periodontal health and communicate clinical findings with patients and providers Capture diagnostic-quality digital x-rays and maintain accurate clinical documentation Educate patients on oral health, home care, periodontal needs, and recommended treatment Collaborate with dentists to identify periodontal, restorative, and comprehensive treatment needs Build trusted, long-term relationships that encourage patients to stay engaged in their oral health What We're Looking For Active New York Dental Hygienist license Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program Current CPR certification Patient-focused approach with strong communication skills Collaborative, dependable, and committed to high-quality clinical care 1+ year of hygiene experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply Local anesthesia certification is a plus Find a Practice Where You Can Stay and Grow The right hygiene position should give you more than a schedule of patients.
