Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our Periodontal team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health is prioritized. This position requires a compassionate individual with strong communication skills and a commitment to patient education and comfort. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health. Take and review medical histories, including vital signs and patient assessments. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits. Document patient care accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist in the management of medical records and documentation review. Utilize knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology during patient interactions. Provide support in periodontal dental care, ensuring a comfortable experience. Collaborate with dentists and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans. Experience Candidates should possess the following qualifications: Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or similar role is preferred. Familiarity with medical coding, documentation review, and patient assessment techniques. Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge relevant to dental hygiene practices. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. Experience working with periodontal patients is a plus, demonstrating the ability to engage effectively.
