Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team! In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care by performing professional dental cleanings, assessments, and education. Your expertise will help promote optimal oral health and ensure a positive experience for every patient. You will collaborate closely with dentists and dental assistants to deliver comprehensive care while maintaining the highest standards of infection control and confidentiality. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical history reviews, and evaluating oral health status. Capture high-quality dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster long-term oral health. Maintain accurate electronic health records. Follow strict infection prevention management protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of dental equipment, to uphold HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality. Monitor and manage dental equipment operation, troubleshooting issues as needed to ensure optimal performance. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current CPR certification. Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings. Proficiency in dental software for managing electronic health records (EHR). Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control procedures. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about dental care and treatment options. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Ability to work efficiently while demonstrating attention to detail and professionalism. Pay:
$45.00 - $55.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 per week
