Job Description
It's probably not lunch on a Tuesday when you're reading this. It's more likely nine o'clock on a Sunday night, after the kids are down and the notes are finally done, scrolling for a sign that somewhere out there, work doesn't feel like this. We know, because a lot of us have been exactly where you are. Here's what we wanted, and what we found instead. We got into pediatric dentistry because we wanted work that was actually fun — different kids, different personalities, different problems to solve, no two chairs ever the same. We wanted a team we genuinely liked being around, not just tolerated for eight hours. We wanted days that moved, not ones where you're stuck babysitting the clock on a single appointment that dragged on forever. What a lot of us found instead was the opposite. Offices so buttoned-up and serious that nobody laughed. Slow, bloated schedules that made a full day feel like a week. A culture where "professional" meant stiff, and where the second you clocked out, nobody wanted to see each other again. It wore us down. So we decided that wasn't going to be how we practiced. So we built something else. Today, Harrison Pediatric Dentistry is genuinely fun. We don't take ourselves too seriously — we crack jokes in the hallway, we celebrate the weird wins (the kid who finally let us count his teeth, the toddler who high-fived the whole team on the way out), and we like each other enough that we hang out outside of work too. Every kid who sits in our chair is different, and we treat them that way — no script, no assembly line, just figuring out what that particular kid needs to have a good visit. Our appointments move — efficient, well-run, no dead time — because a schedule that flows is a schedule everybody actually enjoys. And underneath all of it, everything we do is built around one thing: what's genuinely best for that family, right now, in that chair. The people who find us tend to find exactly what they were looking for — a team that feels more like friends, kids who actually look forward to seeing you, and a pace that lets you enjoy your day instead of surviving it. How we got here. This didn't happen by accident. It's the result of doctors who've been deliberate about who they hire, how they run a schedule, and what kind of culture they protect — even when "serious" would've been the easier, safer image to project. We've built this on purpose, and we keep building it that way with every person who joins us. "I knew I had found the right office when showing up to work no longer felt like going to a job, but more like spending the day with family and a bunch of pretty cool kiddos too. We support each other, enjoy what we do, and of course laugh and crack jokes through it all. I think our patients and their families pick up on the positive energy we bring, and it makes our office such an awesome place to be." - Reilly C, Registered Dental Hygienist The standard stuff, because it matters too: We take care of our team the same way we strive to take care of our patients. That means offering medical, dental, and vision insurance (with the practice contributing toward your medical premium), a 401(k), voluntary accident, critical illness, and short-term disability coverage, paid time off, paid holidays, and a dedicated sick time policy. If you're looking for more than just your next job, you'll also find opportunities to continue growing your career with us. If any part of this sounds like the workday you're missing — one where you actually laugh, where every patient keeps you on your toes, and where the whole team is rowing in the same direction for the families we serve — we'd like to talk. We're not in a rush to fill a seat. We're looking for the right fit, and we're happy to take the time to find it. Come meet the team. We think you'll feel the difference before we ever say a word about it. See Our Culture in Action We believe the best way to understand what makes our practice special is to experience it for yourself.
