Part-Time Registered Dental Hygienist - Two Days per Week Osborn General Dentistry is a privately owned, single-doctor general practice in Hilliard seeking an experienced dental hygienist to join our team two days per week. This is an established position becoming available because one of our longtime hygienists is retiring. We are looking for more than someone to simply fill an opening. Finding a hygienist who is a good fit with our patients, team and practice philosophy is very important to us. Our office values excellent patient care, clinical autonomy and a healthy work-life balance. We are independently owned and do not operate under corporate production expectations or centralized management.

Position details:

Two consistent weekdays per week Office hours of 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Open to discussion on flexible hours if needed. $46.50-$48.00 per hour, based on experience 401(k) retirement plan No evenings or weekends Established patient base Privately owned, noncorporate environment Supportive team with an emphasis on long-term patient relationships Hygienists are trusted to exercise their professional judgment and participate actively in patient care

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive preventive and periodontal care Perform prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, periodontal charting and other appropriate hygiene services Obtain diagnostic radiographs and accurately document clinical findings Educate patients regarding oral health, periodontal disease and recommended treatment Communicate findings and concerns clearly with the dentist Maintain complete and accurate patient records Follow appropriate infection-control and sterilization procedures Help patients feel comfortable, respected and well cared for throughout their visits Work collaboratively with the dentist, assistants and front-office team

Qualifications:

Active Ohio dental hygiene license in good standing Previous clinical hygiene experience preferred Strong communication and patient-education skills Dependable, professional and attentive to detail Comfortable working independently while remaining part of a collaborative team Dentrix experience is helpful but not required A warm, patient-centered approach and commitment to high-quality care This position may be especially well suited to an experienced hygienist who wants a predictable part-time schedule, professional independence and a stable position in a comfortable private-practice environment.
