Responsibilities Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and oral examinations Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while adhering to infection prevention protocols Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions Assist with chairside procedures in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings using four-handed dentistry techniques Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation within Curve Hero Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining patient confidentiality and managing medical records securely Support infection control practices by following aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures for dental equipment Collaborate with dentists and other team members to deliver seamless patient care and ensure a positive patient experience Requirements Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental hygiene procedures Proven experience in dental office settings, preferably in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments Proficiency in EHR/EHR management systems for documentation review and medical coding Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and dental equipment operation Familiarity with infection prevention management, healthcare infection control standards, and aseptic techniques Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively on dental care practices Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining safety standards Knowledge of HIPAA compliance management and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times Join us in making a difference through compassionate, expert dental care!
