Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment, ensuring accurate positioning and patient comfort. Conduct patient assessments by measuring vital signs and evaluating oral health status to inform treatment plans. Educate patients on proper dental care practices, emphasizing preventive strategies tailored to individual needs. Maintain detailed and accurate medical records in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality. Follow strict infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures, to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Review documentation for accuracy, update medical histories, and assist with medical coding for billing purposes when necessary. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current CPR certification. Proven experience in general dentistry with a strong background in patient care. Proficiency with EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Knowledge of dental terminology, equipment operation, and medical terminology related to oral health. Strong communication skills for client interaction, patient education, and team collaboration. Understanding of healthcare infection prevention standards, including aseptic technique and infection control protocols compliant with HIPAA regulations.
