Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain optimal oral health. Assess patient vital signs and review medical histories to ensure safe and effective treatment plans. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to foster long-term dental health. Assist dentists during examinations, procedures, and chairside activities using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency. Take and interpret dental imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols. Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and managing sensitive medical information responsibly. Skills Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for scheduling, documentation review, and record management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques. Ability to accurately measure vital signs and perform basic medical assessments relevant to dental care. Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and work collaboratively within a team dedicated to general dentistry excellence.
