Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health. Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Maintain accurate patient records, documenting treatments and observations. Assist in the development of individualized patient care plans. Collaborate with dentists to provide comprehensive care. Adhere to infection control protocols to ensure patient safety. Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies. Skills The successful candidate should possess the following skills: Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health. Experience in general dentistry practices, including pediatric dentistry. Familiarity with Dentrix software for managing patient records. Ability to apply aseptic techniques effectively. Competence in assisting during various dental procedures. Understanding of medical coding related to dental services.
