Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and evaluating oral health status. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while ensuring proper safety protocols. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term health. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using systems like Dentrix, ensuring documentation review and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures, to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Manage dental equipment maintenance, sterilization processes, and ensure adherence to healthcare infection prevention standards. Collaborate with the dental team to improve workflow, patient care quality, and clinic operations. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current CPR certification. Proven experience in general dentistry or dental clinic environments with proficiency in dental assisting tasks. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health. Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Dentrix Ascend is highly preferred. Excellent communication skills for client interaction, education, and team collaboration. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining strict safety standards. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance management, maintaining patient confidentiality, and documentation review processes. Pay:
