Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to prevent and treat periodontal disease. Conduct detailed patient assessments by taking medical history, dental radiographs and dental examinations to inform treatment plans. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, dietary habits, and preventive care strategies to promote lifelong oral health. Manage electronic health records (EHR) using Eaglesoft to document patient information accurately and efficiently. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and handling medical documentation responsibly. Collaborate closely with dentists and dental assistants to coordinate care and streamline clinic operations. Experience Prior experience working in a busy dental clinic or dental office environment is required. X-Ray certified and proficient at taking radiographs. Proficiency in using Eaglesoft for medical coding and record keeping is essential. Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and dental coding standards is highly desirable. Familiarity with specialized fields such as pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, and periodontics will be advantageous. Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and medical documentation procedures is necessary to ensure patient privacy and legal adherence. Previous experience in dental assisting or dental receptionist roles will be considered a plus for understanding clinic workflows. Pay:
$40.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 33.0 per week
