Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate part-time Pediatric Dental Hygienist to join our dental team on Fridays. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pediatric dentistry and patient care, with a focus on creating a comfortable and positive experience for young patients. As a Pediatric Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive dental hygiene services, assisting with patient assessments, and supporting the overall health and well-being of our pediatric patients through effective clinical practices and education. Duties Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, tailored to pediatric patients' needs. Take and interpret vital signs, radiographic imaging, and other diagnostic data to support accurate patient assessments. Educate children and their guardians on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment plans. Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, including medical history, treatment notes, and dental charts in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) in Archy. Follow strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe clinical environment. Review medical records for relevant health information, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Uphold high standards of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical coding to facilitate precise documentation and billing. Place sealants and SDF Requirements Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Proven experience in pediatric dentistry or general dentistry with a focus on children's oral health. Proficiency in dental software systems keeping and documentation review. Strong knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures within a dental clinic setting. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with children and their families. Familiarity with medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and radiology. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to pediatric patients and understanding of dental terminology specific to pediatrics. Pay:
