Job Description
Great Expressions Dental Center - NY seeks a Registered Dental Hygienist to deliver high-quality, patient-centered preventive and periodontal care. Responsibilities include comprehensive cleanings, periodontal charting, sealants, fluoride treatments, and taking/processing digital radiographs. You will educate patients on oral hygiene, collaborate closely with dentists on treatment plans, and maintain accurate, compliant clinical records. Responsibilities Provide prophylaxis, periodontal therapy, and preventive dental services Perform periodontal charting and assess oral health status Take and process digital dental radiographs Apply sealants and fluoride treatments as indicated Educate patients on oral hygiene, disease prevention, and treatment plans Collaborate with dentists and clinical team on comprehensive care Maintain accurate, detailed, and compliant clinical records Adhere to strict infection control and sterilization protocols Assist in patient scheduling, flow, and chairside efficiency Participate in continuing education and quality improvement initiatives Required Skills Dental prophylaxis and periodontal therapy Periodontal charting and assessment Dental radiography (digital X-rays) Local anesthesia and nitrous monitoring (where permitted) Infection control and instrument sterilization Patient education and communication Electronic dental records documentation Sealant and fluoride application Clinical time management and workflow coordination Knowledge of dental materials and preventive products
