Dental Hygienist Compensation:
$65K - $87K per year +

Location:
Pittsburgh, PA We are seeking a full-time Dental Hygienist to provide high-quality preventive and therapeutic dental care within a community health center setting. This role focuses on delivering patient-centered oral healthcare, supporting overall clinic operations, and participating in community dental health education initiatives. Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in accordance with licensure and established dental hygiene protocols Conduct comprehensive oral assessments, including medical history review, dental and periodontal charting Take and interpret radiographs and intraoral images Perform prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, debridement, fluoride treatments, and sealants Monitor blood pressure and assess overall oral health status at each visit Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, nutrition, and preventive care Document all clinical findings, treatment plans, and patient interactions in the electronic dental record Coordinate referrals to specialists and ensure appropriate follow-up Maintain infection control standards and ensure proper sterilization of instruments Support clinic operations, including recall systems, supply management, and operatory organization Assist during peak clinic times and collaborate with dental assistants and providers Participate in community dental education programs Qualifications Completion of an accredited Dental Hygiene program Active Pennsylvania Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license Current CPR certification Local anesthesia certification preferred Experience in a community health or public health setting preferred Strong knowledge of dental procedures, infection control standards, and periodontal therapies Proficiency with digital dental records and radiography systems Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team environment Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse patient populations Benefits 100% employer-paid medical coverage (UPMC) 100% employer-paid dental (United Concordia) 100% employer-paid short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance Voluntary vision coverage (VBA) Medical and Dependent Care FSA and HRA options 2 weeks paid parental leave 20 days (4 weeks) of PTO during first two years 12 paid holidays annually 401(k) with 4% employer match
