Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain optimal oral health. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and adherence to safety protocols. Educate patients on proper dental care practices, oral hygiene routines, and post-treatment instructions to foster long-term oral health habits. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records while ensuring HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality. Follow strict infection prevention protocols by implementing aseptic techniques, sterilizing equipment, and managing infection control measures in accordance with healthcare standards. Skills Proficiency with dental software systems such as Softdent for documentation and scheduling. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding practices. Experience with pediatric dentistry procedures and working with pediatric patients to create a comfortable environment. Skilled in chairside assisting, including handling dental equipment, setting up instruments, and supporting dentists during procedures. Ability to interpret dental X-rays accurately for diagnosis and treatment planning. Excellent client communication skills to educate patients effectively about their dental health needs. Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control practices, including aseptic technique and sterilization procedures.
