Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional oral healthcare! Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while ensuring patient safety. Assess patient vital signs and medical history to support comprehensive patient care. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using Dentrix, documenting all treatments and assessments clearly. Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control procedures, to ensure a safe clinical environment. Requirements Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience in dental office settings, with knowledge of general dentistry preferred. Proficiency in Dentrix. Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures safely while adhering to HIPAA compliance and maintaining patient confidentiality. Excellent communication skills. Knowledge of infection prevention management, aseptic techniques, and healthcare infection control standards.
