Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning teeth, removing plaque, tartar, and stains to maintain optimal oral health. Conduct patient assessments by taking and reviewing medical history and evaluating oral conditions to inform treatment plans. Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficient and comfortable patient care. Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, treatment options, and preventive care strategies. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories in EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Follow HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with all privacy standards. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a general dentistry setting with familiarity in dental terminology. Knowledge of infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, and anatomy relevant to dental practice. Experience with dental office management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is highly preferred. Strong understanding of dental terminology, patient records management, and documentation review processes. Demonstrated commitment to patient care excellence with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
