Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team in a part time capacity, on Mondays and Tuesdays. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of dental hygiene practices. As a key member of our practice, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive dental hygiene services, educating patients on oral health, and supporting the overall efficiency of clinical operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment that values patient well-being and clinical excellence. Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning teeth, scaling, and polishing to remove plaque and calculus effectively. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current oral health status. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote optimal dental health. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to ensure a safe clinical environment Qualifications Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and electronic health records management.
