In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional dental care and patient education, ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for every patient. Your expertise in dental hygiene procedures, patient assessment, and infection control will help promote optimal oral health and foster long-term relationships with our patients. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and oral health evaluations Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while maintaining safety protocols Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to individual needs Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure smooth workflow and patient comfort Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Adhere strictly to infection prevention protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA compliance to safeguard patient confidentiality and safety Requirements Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings with proficiency in dental terminology and equipment Knowledge of dental x-ray procedures, medical imaging, and medical terminology for accurate patient assessment Familiarity with EHR/EHR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and management Strong understanding of infection control practices, healthcare infection prevention, and aseptic techniques Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction, education, and team collaboration Ability to perform dental assisting duties such as chairside assisting when needed while maintaining a focus on patient care Join our team where your skills will make a real difference!
