Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal oral health. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will utilize your expertise to perform comprehensive dental cleanings, patient assessments, and education while ensuring compliance with all safety and privacy standards. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, to maintain optimal oral health for patients of all ages. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR). Educate patients on proper dental care techniques, preventive practices, and treatment plans to empower them with knowledge for healthier smiles. Manage infection prevention protocols by maintaining aseptic techniques, sterilizing dental equipment, and adhering to healthcare infection prevention standards. Review and update medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Operate dental equipment proficiently, including digital radiography systems like dental X-ray machines, while ensuring safety protocols are followed. Requirements Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current state certification. Proven experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings, with familiarity in pediatric dentistry preferred. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care. Proficiency in using Dentrix Ascend for documentation review and management of medical records. Expertise in infection control practices, including aseptic technique and healthcare infection prevention measures. Ability to communicate effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds, providing clear client communication and patient education. Pay:
$43.37 - $52.23 per hour
