The Dental Hygienist will provide high-quality preventive and periodontal care while educating patients on proper oral hygiene and helping them maintain optimal oral health. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing. Take and develop dental radiographs as permitted by state regulations. Conduct periodontal assessments and document clinical findings. Apply fluoride treatments, sealants, and other preventive treatments as directed. Provide thorough patient education regarding oral hygiene, nutrition, and periodontal health. Review patients' medical and dental histories and identify relevant health concerns. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and patient records. Monitor patients during treatment and communicate any concerns to the dentist. Maintain a clean, safe, and properly disinfected treatment environment. Follow OSHA, infection-control, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations. Work collaboratively with dentists, dental assistants, and administrative staff. Provide a welcoming, professional, and comfortable experience for every patient. Qualifications 2 years of experience Current state license to practice as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH). Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program. Current CPR/BLS certification. Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, periodontal care, and infection-control protocols. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient records. Ability to work effectively as part of a dental team. Previous dental hygiene experience preferred but not required.
