In this role, you will utilize your expertise to promote oral health, perform thorough cleanings, and support our patients through education and compassionate service. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help foster positive patient experiences while ensuring compliance with all safety and health standards. Hours would be Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30 am
  • 5 pm, Wednesdays 9 am
  • 5 pm, and Fridays 8:30 am
  • 1 pm.
Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, to maintain optimal oral health. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans. Take and develop medical imaging, such as X-rays, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories in electronic medical record (EMR) systems on Dentrix. Follow infection control protocols rigorously, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Monitor and record vital signs during appointments, recognizing any abnormalities that may require further medical assessment. Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and current best practices in pediatric dentistry and infection control standards. Skills Proficiency with Dentrix for efficient documentation review and management. Knowledge of infection control standards including aseptic technique and sterilization processes. Ability to accurately measure vital signs and recognize signs that require further medical evaluation or intervention. Familiarity with medical imaging techniques used within a dental setting for diagnostic purposes. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate clearly, empathetically, and professionally across diverse populations. Experience working within HIPAA guidelines to ensure confidentiality of all patient information. Strong organizational skills for managing dental records, documentation review, and adherence to procedural protocols.
