Dental Hygienist

Job Overview; Dental Hygienist Mature, responsible, dependable Registered Dental Hygienist needed for Eastside family practice. Position is for 32-36 hours/wk., Monday thru Thursday. Working with both adults and children in the field of general dentistry. Candidate must be personable. Experience is preferred, but not required, as long as you are a hard worker, team player, self-starter, and have a positive attitude. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in promoting oral health, performing preventive dental procedures, and educating patients on proper dental hygiene practices. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and examinations to assess the oral health of patients. Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to assist the dentist during procedures efficiently. Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe and sterile environment for patients and staff. Document patient treatment plans, medical histories, and progress notes accurately in the dental office systems. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, dietary choices, and the importance of regular dental visits. Maintain knowledge of anatomy, dental terminology, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques to provide high-quality care. Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records using Eaglesoft or similar software. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred but not mandatory; recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Familiarity with infection control standards and practices within a dental office setting. Knowledge of medical coding and terminology related to dental procedures is a plus.
