Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, to promote oral health. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while ensuring radiation safety protocols are followed. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to empower them in maintaining their health. Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Open Dental with accuracy, ensuring all documentation complies with HIPAA regulations. Maintain infection prevention standards through aseptic techniques, sterilization of dental instruments, and adherence to healthcare infection control protocols. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental or healthcare setting, with familiarity in general dentistry. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical records management. Proficiency in using dental equipment including X-ray machines, digital imaging tools, and chairside assisting instruments. Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Open Dental for documentation review and management. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance requirements related to patient confidentiality and data security. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, providing clear instructions on dental care patient education. Demonstrated understanding of infection prevention management, aseptic techniques, and healthcare infection control practices to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
